I create objects that celebrate the small moments in our daily lives. I use multiples to create patterns, drawing inspiration from the conversations that build through slight variations in form. Repetition as exploration.

Jen Mills has an MFA in Ceramics from the Cranbrook Academy of Art, and a BA in Religion and Art History from the University of Puget Sound. She is a recipient of an Artist Support Grant from Jack Straw Productions, and has been a visiting artist and lecturer at Wayne State University and Wichita State University.

She has been teaching for over 25 years, celebrating the knowledge that is discovered when we use our hands to create. She delights in the exchange of ideas possible when we are inspired by each other and our surroundings. She has taught at the both the college and community level, including South Seattle College, Seward Park Clay Studio, Kirkland Arts Center, Moshier Community Center, Rain City Clay, and the Seattle Artist League.
